We were all pretty heartbroken for Louis Tomlinson after his younger sister Félicité unfortunately passed away of a suspected heart attack on March 13, 2019. And apparently, so is his former One Direction bandmate Zayn Malik!
Louis recently slammed the “Pillowtalk” crooner for being unsupportive of him after his mom died of leukemia in 2016. But according to a source close to Zayn, he feels absolutely terrible about how things went down.
“[Zayn is] guilt-ridden about his [falling out] with Louis,” the insider told Life & Style Magazine. “Zayn didn’t make any effort with Louis after his mom died and now, his sister has passed and he feels terrible.”
Ugh, our hearts. As fans know, since Zayn left the band in March of 2015, his relationship with Louis hasn’t exactly been pretty. Especially because the two got into an explosive Twitter fight in May of 2015. And although Louis tried to make up with his former BFF after his mom died, he explained in a recent interview with Dan Wootton, that it didn’t work out. Just days after Louis’ mom’s tragic death, he hit The X Factor stage to perform his new single, “Just Hold On.” Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Liam Payne all came to show their support, but Zayn was MIA.
“I had a couple of calls with him after I lost my mum,” Louis said. “All the boys had agreed to come to that performance and he didn’t show so that really bugged me.”
And when Zayn posted a super ambiguous tweet, then quickly deleted it last week, some fans thought it may have been a message to Louis.
“I’d like to apologize for basically being a shit person,” the 26-year-old singer wrote.
Naturally, everyone quickly started to worry about the singer, but Zayn took to Twitter again, to let everyone know that he’s doing OK.
“Currently happy, could be happier,” he shared. “Thanks for all the love and thoughts yesterday just had a vent ha x.”

But according to the insider, the former 1D heartthrob isn’t doing as well as he lets on.
“Zayn is going through a rough patch,” they confessed, adding that the singer “split from Gigi [Hadid] again.”
Zayn and Gigi were together for three years before reportedly going their separate ways back in January. But Zayn confirmed that they were back together when he tweeted “Love you,” to his ex at the beginning of the month. It’s seriously hard to keep up with these two.
Ugh, we really hope that Zayn is OK.
