The wait for new Liam Payne music may finally be over, you guys. Yeah, you might want to prepare yourselves because the One Direction singer just revealed that he’s got not one, not two, but three new songs in the works! SCREAMING.
While speaking to Billboard at the Visa Tap Room presented by Chase on Tuesday, May 21 the “Strip That Down” crooner spilled all the tea on his upcoming music.
“I’ve got to work and collaborate with some of the most amazing people so far and that just keeps happening,” he dished. “We have three new songs that I’m working on and some great friends who have written some more amazing songs for me.”
As fans know, it’s been almost a year since we’ve had any new music from the singer, who released an EP called First Time back in August 2018. And lately, he’s been teasing his new tunes a lot on Twitter and Instagram.
Back in April, he posted a video of himself playing the piano, which he captioned, “I’ve loved taking my time in the studio to focus on making new music recently, I could do this forever but it’s nearly time to share what we’ve been up to…”
And on May 21, he dropped another major hint that some new songs are coming soon.
“If you scroll right far enough you’ll almost see new music,” he wrote alongside a collage of photos of him in the studio. Ugh, Liam, the suspense is killing us!
But music isn’t the only thing the 1D heartthrob’s been working on recently. It turns out, he’s also been auditioning for a ton of movie roles!
“I never really saw it coming myself, honestly,” Liam admitted about his sudden passion for acting. “I put a couple auditions into some things and had a little bit of success within them. I didn’t quite get some of the roles but it’s been fun. I just want to do action films. I need to do something, like, really action-based.”
OK, can this please happen? Seeing the 1D heartthrob on the big screen for two hours would certainly be a dream come true. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for Liam next.
