It looks like Tyler Posey is back on the market. On Saturday, December 7, the 28-year-old revealed that after two years of dating, he’s no longer with Grey’s Anatomy actress Sophia Ali.
“I don’t have a girlfriend,” he told Us Weekly exclusively at Netflix’s Fast & Furious: Spy Racers world premiere. “I’m focused on work and just myself.”
When talking about romance, the former Teen Wolf star revealed that he doesn’t think he’s meant to be in a relationship.
“I kind of mess relationships up sometimes. I don’t know if I’m meant for them,” he said before admitting that he often felt the pressure to have a “perfect” relationship based on what people see in movies and on TV. “I don’t think I fall in line with it. So, it’s a newfound thing and I’m very, very happy.”
As fans know, Tyler started dating the 24-year-old actress back in 2017 after they met on the set of the horror movie Truth Or Dare. When the pair first got together, the actor gushed about Sophia without actually dropping her name. Despite keeping her identity a secret, fans were quick to call out the his mystery girl as Sophia after the two were spotted hanging out after filming wrapped on Truth Or Dare.
“I really admire her,” he told Us Weekly at an event back in 2017. “I think she’s extremely talented and a great person. I’m inspired by her a lot and she intimidates me sometimes, which I’m not really used to. I’m nervous right now talking about it. She’s beautiful, really cool, has a lot of my same interests. Yeah, I could go on about that, too.”
Tyler is no stranger to dating in the spotlight. Before his long-term relationship with Sophia, he was romantically linked to former Disney Channel star Bella Thorne in 2016.
