Between the show-stopping performances and star-studded guest list, the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards was definitely a night to remember! It took place in Newark, NJ on Monday, August 26, and it was truly an epic evening.
Taylor Swift opened the show with a performance of her bop “You Need to Calm Down, followed by her new single, “Lover.” Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello hit the stage a little later to sing their duet “Señorita,” and boy, was it steamy! They almost kissed two times during the performance, and we were all seriously living for it. And that’s not all. The Jonas Brothers, Normani, Miley Cyrus and more also delivered to-die-for performances throughout the night.
The glamorous event was hosted by comedian Sebastian Maniscalco, and ton of our favorite celebrities took home awards this year. Get this, you guys — Taylor, the Jonas Brothers, Shawn, Camila, Normani, Ariana Grande, BTS, Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X and more were on the list of winners. Oh, and did we mention that they all seriously slayed the red carpet? Yep, a bunch of Hollywood’s biggest stars showed up to the awards show in their most glamorous dresses and most swoon-worthy suits, and we are seriously living for their looks.
