We have some sad news for you guys — one of our favorite YouTube couples has officially called it quits. Yep, you might want to grab some tissues because Alissa Violet and her boyfriend of two years, FaZe Banks, just announced that they’ve decided to go their separate ways.
The former couple shared the news via Twitter on Friday, July 5.
“Alissa and I decided about a month ago that we should take some time apart,” FaZe wrote. “Love that girl to death and always will. I’ll never say a bad word about her. This s–ts about as hard to deal with as it gets. Please respect our privacy through this.”
“To clarify too, this wasn’t one sided by any means. Just like everything else we’ve ever done, it was a team decision,” he added. “Alissa is the most amazing soul I’ve ever come in contact with. She deserves love and support. She’ll continue to have mine forever.”

Alissa, 23, took to social media too, writing, “Single Violet thrives.”

As fans know, the couple actually got into a pretty public feud last month, and even unfollowed each other on Twitter. But it had appeared that they had made up when Alissa refollowed her beau a few hours later. The fight came just days after the 27-year-old YouTuber revealed that he had once had a fling with Tana Mongeau, but the pair insisted that their argument had nothing to do with her.
“You guys are insane. Terrible timing for a fight,” he tweeted at the time. “Guys, fights happen. This had zero to do with the podcast or Tana. You guys are crazy.”
I love tana and I knew about everything when we first started dating two years ago. Literally terrible timing

“I love Tana and I knew about everything when we first started dating two years ago. Literally terrible timing,” Alissa also wrote.
The two social media stars first started dating back in June 2017. After that, they quickly became relationship goals, and it honestly seemed like they were going to be together forever. We’re seriously heartbroken over the news.
