Get ready, Billie Eilish fans because the When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? singer just had the most epic “Carpool Karaoke” ever. The 18-year-old appeared on The Late Late Show and helped host James Corden get to work on Thursday, December 19. Fans can’t get enough of the video, which gave them an inside look into her personal life. Yep, that’s right, viewers got a very intimate tour of the house where Billie grew up.
“Luckily, with us, me and my brother, we made the whole album, and the EP, in his little bedroom in our house,” she said before the pair took a special trip to her house. “No booth, no studio, just the bedroom.”
While giving James a tour of the small room where she recorded her debut album, the “Bury A Friend” singer reflected on her life before her music hit the airwaves.
“Before we made any songs together, Finneas said [something], kind of as a joke, but we were talking about making music together, and he goes, ‘I’m gonna make you the biggest pop star in the world.’ And we just laughed,” Billie remembered while laying in his bed.
In a super intimate moment, Billie and James were joined by her mom, Maggie Baird, and she opened up about what it’s been like to watch her daughter become a total popstar.
“People are like, ‘How does it feel that she’s singing at Radio City?’ Like, it blew my mind when she sang at the Hi Hat. It blew my mind when I sat here and heard Billie and Finneas play a song. It’s never not been mind-blowing,” she revealed. “So it’s almost been like four years of, ‘Oh my God.'”
While in the house, Billie also showed James her pet spider in a totally hilarious moment.
“Can I be honest? I’m not good with spiders,” he told her after agreeing to see the pet. “I don’t know how I feel about this now that I can see. I feel like I said yes so quickly.”
The songstress then placed the fuzzy, blue spider on his hand and left the room making for a laugh-out-loud moment of the talk show host totally freaking out. She quickly returned to the room and saved him from his fear before the two hopped back in the car to sing some more songs.
After singing Billie’s hit song “Bad Guy,” the two reflected on the first time she met her favorite artist Justin Bieber at Coachella this past April.
“So we go to see Ariana [Grande], and I was just standing there, and we were just watching the set, and I was rocking out ’cause I love Ariana, and I saw… ‘Cause I know what Bieber looks like. I know his body language, I know how he stands, I know where he wears his pants,” she joked. “So I look over, and I just was like [eyes wide]. And he just stood there! He didn’t even come near me. He just stood like five feet away from me, perfectly still, and he just was like [staring]. And he had the face mask, so all I could see were his eyes, but they were his eyes.”
Thank you, The Late Late Show, for giving the world this iconic Billie content!
