Musician Finneas O’Connell — otherwise known as Billie Eilish‘s brother — has asked his fans for help. The 22-year-old artist took to Instagram on Wednesday, May 20 to call out an apparent thief who “stole a bunch of packages” from his Los Angeles home and seemingly ripped out his doorbell camera. Finneas also told his millions of followers to reach out if they knew who the thief might be.

“Hi everybody! Figured I’d put all 2.4 million of you to good use,” he captioned a photo of the alleged thief. “This handsome fella stole a bunch of packages off my porch in LA today and then RIPPED my doorbell camera out of its socket and left with it. Lemme know if you know him. I won’t press charges if he gives them all back and lets me give him a neck [tattoo] that says ‘thief.”

Naturally, fans immediately took to the comment section and started asking Finneas follow up questions. He continued to drag the alleged perpetrator in replies to followers.

“Do you have the video? Maybe people can recognize him easier if they see more of his body structure and what not instead of going off a pixilated picture,” one person suggested. The singer replied, “He doesn’t work out a ton.”

He also clapped back at commenter who shaded him for “shaming someone” so publicly.

“I mean, you are rich and shaming someone who is in circumstances that led them to resort to stealing is kind of s**ty,” the follower wrote. Finneas responded, “Stealing private property and vandalizing surveillance equipment is a federal crime and punishable by five years jail time and a fine of $250,000. Someone recognizing this guy from my Instagram and him returning the items he stole and NOT filing a police report is pretty f**king generous if you ask me.”

He then added in another comment, “But theft is A-OK, huh?”

The fan wrote back and further explained that they think “acting on anger” is unproductive before telling Finneas that they still support him and his music.

“I am fortunate enough to have a large number of people who I can inform of the situation, in the hopes that someone may know someone who knows someone who can quietly, peacefully return the things he has stolen from me,” Finneas concluded. “Grateful to you for any and all support and love you have shown us over the years.”

Finneas has yet to publicly update fans on the situation.
