Get ready because one of our all-time favorite Disney Channel shows may be making a comeback. Yes, we’re talking about Wizards of Waverly Place! David Henrie just revealed that he and Selena Gomez discuss bringing back the beloved Russo family “all the time,” and we’re seriously freaking out.
“It’s not formal, but Selena and I sit and talk about what would the reboot be, and we have a whole take. We have a whole thing,” the actor told Entertainment Tonight. “We want to start the show like a few years later. Start them off at the worst place ever so that way throughout the series you give them a nice, beautiful arch of reuniting. Start them off divided. Alex is a fashionista, off killing it in some other part of the realm. Justin’s, like, the principal [of WizTech] who has a family now… [Jake T. Austin‘s] Max has the sub shop, but it’s run down. Start us all completely discombobulated and then throughout the course of the series you bring us all together.”
OMG. How epic would that be? He later took to Twitter, writing, “Just out of curiosity, who would want a Wizards reunion?” And some more of the cast and crew let us know that they’re also totally down for a reboot!
Maria Canals-Barrera, who played Theresa Russo in the show, retweeted his message, adding, “Uhhh… ME.”

And the writer and producer of the iconic series, Peter Murrieta, replied, “I’d do it!”
I’d do it!

As fans know, the 30-year-old former Disney star sparked reboot rumors back in April when he was spotted at Disney studios. He posted a selfie next to a Disney+ sign, and the internet quickly went wild.
“Let’s do this,” he captioned it.
And when Jake retweeted a fan who said it was time for the iconic show to return a few days later, it was almost too much for us to handle.
Raven is back, the Jonas brothers are back, Hannah Montana is back. I think we all know who’s turn it is

The show originally aired from from October 2007 to January 2012, and there’s not a day that goes by that we don’t miss it, TBH. That’s why this seriously needs to happen.
