Hey Debby Ryan, is that you? It’s honestly hard to tell with her new look! Yeah, you might want to brace yourselves because the Jessie actress just revealed a major hair transformation, and now, she’s almost unrecognizable!
Yep, that’s right. The 26-year-old dyed her normally brown locks bright purple! She shared a snap of the drastic new hairdo to her Instagram, and boy, does she look fab.
Wow! We are seriously loving the new look! And the best part? Debby actually decided to change her hair color for an amazing cause. It turns out, she teamed up with food company Sambazon and dyed her hair lavender in an attempt to save the rainforest.
“Love a purple hair job, [especially] for the rainforest. We tryna protect 30 species in 30 days,” she wrote on Instagram. “You literally just post a pic of you with purple hair — dye/chalk/filter/whatever — and tag @sambazon with #PurpleForThePlanet, and they’ll literally protect 5 acres of the rainforest for you (from now until Biodiversity Day [on] May 22)! Do it bc you look cute and magical and the Earth can stay that way too.”
And she’s not the only one! Stars like Ashley Tisdale, Miranda Cosgrove and Maia Mitchell may not have dyed their locks, but instead, they edited purple hair onto pictures of themselves. And they looked amazing, if you ask us.
“Who’s going #PurpleForThePlanet with me?! Let’s protect 30 species in 30 days together!” the High School Musical actress wrote on Instagram alongside a snap of with purple hair. “Join me and dye, chalk or filter your hair purple.”
“I just went purple… for the planet!” Miranda wrote.
Even the Riverdale ladies got involved! Madelaine Petsch and Vanessa Morgan decided to dye a few streaks of their hair purple, and we’re seriously obsessed!
