Drop everything, people, because Dove Cameron is back with a brand new single — and it’s a super meaningful track! The highly anticipated song, called “Remember Me,” was first teased to fans during the blonde beauty’s Instagram Livestream on March 29, and now, it’s finally here.
After the song dropped on Friday, April 10, fans took to social media and praise Dove for her amazing lyrical content. One even asked if the song was about her boyfriend Thomas Doherty, to which she replied, “No. It has to do with me.”
That’s right, the song seemed to be a love letter written from Dove to herself.

Some listeners have speculated that the Descendants star painted a perfect picture of herself with the lyrics so that when times get hard, she can remember all the good times. For those who don’t know, throughout her time in the spotlight, Dove has been pretty open about her mental health issues. The release of “Remember Me” came just one day after she opened up with her past struggles and the importance of self care in a meaningful Instagram post.
