“I know you’re working right now so please try to keep your head up, OK? I love you more than anything in the world, and you have made my life so much better,” another concerned fan added. “I love you, Dove.”

As fans know, the 24-year-old has been pretty open about her mental health issues in the past. Back in July 2019, she told Seventeen, “I would call myself incredibly anxious, and I have dealt with depression. And I do have episodes of absolutely what feels like mania or something that is like I’m all of a sudden in the pits of despair. I can’t get myself out. I’m on the floor and I’m crying. I was scared when I was younger to talk about certain topics because there are a lot of people in this industry that tell you not to speak about a lot of things. Then as you get older you’re kind of like, wait, no, maybe I know better. Maybe I don’t care about what you think. Maybe the risk is much less important than the gain. And I think so much normalcy would come from demystifying a lot in our own personal lives for younger people to look at.”

The Liv and Maddie alum also spoke out about it in a series of tweets in November 2019.

“Just out of another therapy/intensive trauma session. Feeling a bit lighter, but also heavily reminded of just how much real work I have to do/pain I have to untangle,” she wrote on Twitter. “This life is hard, y’all. And mental health/needing help is nothing to be ashamed of. Take care of yourselves.”

“Also: I know therapy isn’t something everyone has access to/can afford, and I wish that wasn’t the case. But in whatever way you can, whatever you have access to — please prioritize your inner state/mental health,” the blonde beauty continued. “Before you can help anyone else, you must help yourself. You matter.”
