Get ready, people, because Dove Cameron is coming to the big screen! The Disney star was just cast in a new psychological thriller called Issac, and J-14 has all the exciting deets.

According to Deadline, the upcoming movie also stars RJ Mitte, and is all about a boy named Issac who meets a waitress named Cassi one night at a diner. The pair set out to commit a revenge murder together in the name of love. Wow, how intense does that sound?! Production has reportedly already kicked off in Los Angeles, CA.

It turns out, this may not be the only movie that the Liv and Maddie alum is going to star in. Earlier this month, reports hit the web that Disney was making a live-action remake of the animated flick Tangled, and Dove took to Twitter to let everyone know that she wants to star as Repunzel in the upcoming flick!

“Disney is [reportedly] making a live action Tangled and if @DoveCameron doesn’t play Rapunzel I’m throwing a tantrum,” one Twitter user wrote, which the 24-year-old retweeted, adding, “Same.”

“@DoveCameron as Rapunzel or i don’t want it,” another fan tweeted, to which the Descendants star replied, “Hahahah. Amazing.”

For those who forgot, Tangled came out back in 2010, and it starred Mandy MooreZachary Levi and more. It put a modern twist on the classic story of the long-haired princess that everyone knows and loves, and it quickly became a fan favorite. According to TheDisneyInsider, there’s no word just yet if the new live-action movie will follow the same story line as Tangled or if it’ll take a new approach to the fairy tale — but either way, fans cannot wait!

Dove also hinted that a fourth Descendants movie may be in the works! She told Digital Spy back in September 2019, “I may or may not have heard something about something that I might be doing involving the franchise. I would never say that it’s over, but I also would never confirm anything at this time. I would be open to doing more. To be completely honest, as an actor who is not beholden to Disney, I would say that I think it would be smart for them to capitalize on the brand that they created. I think it would be smart to do maybe a spin-off with maybe the younger characters. I know that Disney has been very specific about saying that this world doesn’t really ever end, it goes on forever and the possibilities are endless.”
