It’s safe to say that Gigi Hadid has her boyfriend, Zayn Malik‘s back! The model just clapped back at YouTuber Jake Paul after he slammed the former One Direction member and threatened to fight him on Twitter.
It turns out, the “Pillowtalk” crooner and the controversial social media star crossed paths at the Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury II fight in Las Vegas, NV on Saturday, February 22, and it sounds like their interaction was not pretty.
“Almost had to clap up [Zayn] from One Direction he is a little guy and has an attitude and basically told me to ‘F**k off’ for no reason when I was being nice to him,” Jake wrote on Twitter, a few hours after the event. “[Zayn] I know you’re reading this… Stop being angry cause you came home alone to your big a** hotel room hahaha.”
But the blonde beauty quickly came to her boyfriend’s defense! She fired back, “Lol cause he doesn’t care to hang with you and your embarrassing crew of YouTube groupies? Home alone with his best friends like a respectful king cause he has me, sweetie. Unbothered by your irrelevant ugly a**. Go to bed.”
“Bro he literally started yelling and freaking the f**k out,” the influencer added in another tweet. “‘You wanna test me mate?’ Lol I feel bad for childhood stars.”
“Someone needs to take my phone when I’m drunk because I am a f**king idiot,” Jake later tweeted, seemingly referring to the situation.
As fans know, Zayn and Gigi first started dating all the way back in 2015, and over the last five years they’ve certainly had their ups and downs. They’ve broken up and gotten back together multiple times over the years, so their relationship has definitely been a rollercoaster of a ride. Most recently, rumors that the pair had split hit the web in August 2019, after the supermodel was caught cozying up to Bachelorette runner-up Tyler Cameron. But when the 24-year-old and the singer reunited and were spotted celebrating his birthday together on January 12, 2020, everyone started to speculate that they were going strong again.
Then, on February 10, 2020, Gigi shared a snap of her and the 27-year-old cuddling up on Instagram, seemingly confirming that they were indeed back together. She also referred to him as her Valentine on February 14, 2020.
