Beliebers, it’s time to back off. Apparently, Hailey Baldwin (er, Bieber) is super frustrated with Justin Bieber‘s fans. Why? Well, in case you haven’t noticed, they’ve been super territorial over the pop star since he first rose to fame over a decade ago. So territorial, in fact, that many of them have been eager to see the model’s relationship with the “Sorry” crooner flop ever since they exchanged their vows.

In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, the 22-year-old opened up about how frustrating it is that people who don’t even know them personally have so much to say about their relationship. Between the media scrutiny surrounding their marriage and the negative comments from the 25-year-old singer’s fans, it’s understandably a lot for Hailey to handle.

“They just really want to see you fail, for whatever reason,” she told the magazine. “I don’t know if it’s because they want to be able to say, ‘I told you so’ or because they want to be right, I don’t really know what the idea is behind trying to tear somebody’s relationship down, or person down, whatever it may be.”

Honestly, though, the most frustrating part of it all is that the people who spew the most hate are the ones who claim to be the “No Brainer” crooner’s diehard fans, and while concerned Beliebers generally have Justin’s best interest at heart, there’s no doubt they can take things too far.

“The problem too is kids become possessive over people and feel like if they think they’re hurt, they feel hurt for them and they’re hurt too, or whatever it is,” Hailey dished to the mag. “They just think they know these people who are famous because their life is so exposed.”

Unfortunately, Hailey said those same fans are the ones who create made up scenarios in their heads about what they think is going on in their personal lives, which just isn’t cool. Plus, most of the time the scenarios are blatantly false. We know what you’re thinking: How does Hailey deal with all of this? Well, it’s not easy, but sometimes she finds she has to tune it all out and give up social media — at least until the nasty comments don’t bother her as much.

“I’ve found that I got to a place where I don’t read the comments,” she admitted. “People can just be mean, and I feel like if you don’t want it to get to you, then don’t read it and allow it to affect your soul.” RETWEET.
