Musical duo Jack & Jack just kicked off their A Friend Is Nice Tour on February 21, and we couldn’t be more excited. If you’re attending one of the shows, you may be wondering, how do I catch Jack Johnson and Jack Gilinsky‘s eye during the concert? Should I dress up? Should I bring a sign? Well guys, we’ve got you covered. We spoke to the boys exclusively, and they explained the best ways to get their attention.

“Just be singing along,” Johnson told us. “Of course, the higher up you are or the closer you are to the stage, obviously there’s a better chance, but sometimes I’ll notice people back in the bar area, like moms, going hard to the music.”

What’s most important to Gilinsky, is that you have a good time.

“I feel like naturally my eyes gravitate more to those people who are just rocking out and having a good time and not caring about what anyone else is thinking and stuff,” he added. “I love to see those people, it makes me so happy on stage. I don’t want you to like hold posters and stuff because then people behind you can’t see, so I just like when people are having a good time.”

Aw, so considerate! And what can you expect at a Jack & Jack show?

“Jack & Jack shows, if you haven’t been, they’re all about the energy,” Johnson continued. “I feel like we have such great fans who allow us to be ourselves on stage, and when the fans are hyped that makes us hyped. It’s just like a whole party of reciprocation and it’s just an endless amount of energy.”

But the boys love to slow things down too.

“But also, obviously, we take it to an acoustic level at points in the show and we slow it down for people who might not love to jump around all the time,” the 22-year-old added. “We like to not only just sing, but [we love to] also talk to our fans and make it kind of feel like a whole community in there. I would just say overall it’s a really good time at a Jack & Jack show.”

Wow, if you haven’t gotten your tickets yet, you might want to purchase them because it seriously sounds like it’s going to be epic. You can see a full list of the tour dates here.
