Some of the biggest names in YouTube’s beauty community just came together for one major collaboration, and we’re totally freaking out! Yep, that’s right, James Charles rounded up his closet friends, including NikkieTutorials, Bretman Rock, Manny MUA, Nikita Dragun, Patrick Starrr, Mykie and Louie Casttro, for one giant Pass the Brush challenge in an attempt to raise money for the United Nations Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for WHO amid the current coronavirus pandemic.

In the 15-minute video, each beauty guru got the chance to showcase one step of their makeup routine before “passing the brush” (or foundation, or concealer) to the next person. Once everyone had a chance to go, the YouTube stars showed off the finished products and, quite possibly, broke the record for the biggest “get ready with me” video in history.

“Obviously the beauty community has been through a lot over the past few years and I feel like there’s kind of this general misconception that all of us are crazy and everybody hates each other but that’s really just not the truth in any way, shape or form,” James told E! News after the massive collaboration dropped on Tuesday, May 12. “I’ve been really lucky to still be friends with a lot of people in the community and we all have a really great relationship. We were literally discussing it last night; we all watched the video and were getting so emotional and proud of it.”

The 20-year-old also explained how he wanted to become a “positive” force within the entire beauty community and felt like being able to put “a smile on people’s faces” was the least he could do during these uncertain times.

For those who missed it, the World Health Organization has reported that over reported that over 4,300,000 people have contracted virus so far, resulting in more than 294,000 deaths Medical professionals have called for “social distancing” to prevent further spreading of the illness, which is defined as “trying to keep yourself away from other people, especially large crowds.” Because of this many events, concerts and festivals have been canceled, including all Broadway plays and sports games. People have been asked to avoid public spaces and quarantine themselves during this time.
