Who’s ready to see Josephine Langford in a new role? The 22-year-old may be known for her breakout role as Tessa in After, but now fans are about to see her in a brand new movie. On Tuesday, November 5, it was announced that she joined the cast of Netflix’s upcoming, original teen film, Moxie.

Directed by Saturday Night Live star Amy Poehler, the movie is set to star Patrick Schwarzenegger, Hadley Robinson, Lauren Tsai, and Ike Barinholtz alongside Josephine. According to Deadline, the movie is based off a book with the same title written by Jennifer Mathieu and it “tells the story of a girl from a small town (played by Hadley) who is inspired by her mother’s Riot Girl past and starts a feminist revolution at her high school.”

Since filming is already underway, it shouldn’t be too long before the movie becomes a new release on the streaming service.

The Australian actress is set to play a character named Emma, “host of the school’s TV announcement program,’ and her costar Patrick will play a currently unnamed “handsome jock who offers vociferous opposition to the Moxie movement, and who has darker secrets in his past.”

Once the cast was announced, Patrick took to Instagram and shared his excitement with fans and expressing the super relatable love he has for Netflix.

“Love Amy!! Love Ike!! Love Netflix!! Excited!!” he wrote.

For those who don’t know, neither of these stars are strangers to a movie set. Not only will Josephine continue to make a name for herself with this film, but she will star in upcoming sequel to the Harry Styles-inspired flick, After. Patrick, on the other hand, became a total on-screen hottie after his role alongside Bella Thorne in Midnight Sun back in 2018. These two are totally slaying Young Hollywood!
