Congratulations Kenny Ortega! As fans know, the director, producer and choreographer was behind some of our favorite Disney Channel Original Movies. And on Wednesday, July 24, he was honored with his own star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. A bunch of Disney stars, including Dove Cameron, BooBoo Stewart and Monique Coleman, came out to commemorate the huge achievement. But there was one special person missing from the celebration. And that’s Cameron Boyce. The late actor’s family attended the event in his honor, and it was definitely an emotional day.
As fans know, Cameron worked closely with Kenny on the Descendants series. So when he sadly passed away on July 6, 2019, after suffering a seizure in his sleep, the director was devastated. Cameron was only 20 years old at the time of his tragic death. He definitely had huge impact on Kenny’s life, and the choreographer made sure to honor him at the special event.
