Just days after slamming haters who used her name as an insult online, Lizzo has returned to TikTok with a brand new video about health and working out. In the newly uploaded clip, the 32-year-old shut down body shamers by explaining that she exercises for herself, not to achieve any “ideal body type.”
“Hey, so I’ve been working out consistently for the last five years, and it may come as a surprise to some of y’all that I’m not working out to have your ideal body type,” the songstress said in the now-viral video. “I’m working out to have my ideal body type, and you know what type that is? None of your f**king business. Because I am beautiful, I am strong, I do my job, and I stay on my job.”
She added “So, next time you want to come to somebody and judge them, whether they drink kale smoothies or eat McDonald’s or workout or not workout, how about you look at your own f**king self and worry about your own God d**n body because health is not just determined on what you look like on the outside. Health is also what happens on the inside. And a lot of y’all need to do a f**king cleanse for your insides. Namaste, have a great day.”
As fans know, this isn’t the only time the singer opened up about her body on the social media platform. Previously, she posted a video of herself after noticing that people would comment her name underneath clips of some “big” women on the app.
“To the people who be putting my name in the comments, thank you. Because you know what? If every time you see a big girl on this app loving herself, and putting herself out there, and being confident and loving her body, you think of me, or you think she looks like me — b***h that is a compliment,” she said in the now-viral video. “That means I’m out here doing what I’m supposed to be doing. Letting you b***hes know that next time you try to make fun of a woman for her body, or her size, that b***h, we’re out here and we don’t give a f**k. And we’re confident and we’re bad b***hes and we’re cover stars.”
She concluded, “So thanks. And to all the big girls, I see you. Keeping putting my name in the comments.”
