We’ve got some bad news, you guys. As much as we all love swooning over how cute Louis Tomlinson‘s son Freddie Reign is, we just found out that we might not be getting any more pics of the toddler. There seems to be some major drama going down between Freddie’s mama Briana Jungwirth and her family, which has led fans to believe she’s done sharing pics of the little cutie. Sigh.
OK, let us explain. So on Monday, January 21, 2019, the One Direction member’s son celebrated his third birthday. Wow, can you believe Freddie is 3 years old already? It feels like just yesterday that the “Back To You” singer shared the news that he had become a dad, and now, the cutie is already walking and talking!
And in honor of the little guy’s third birthday, a lot of Louis and Briana’s family members posted sweet messages to him. As expected, right? Louis’ younger sisters — Daisy, Phoebe and Lottie Tomlinson — all shared tributes for the toddler’s birthday, while some of Briana’s family took to Instagram as well. Her mom Tammi and her younger brother Austin both posted a birthday message to Freddie, alongside some never-before-seen pics, and it couldn’t have been sweeter.
But fans were quick to notice that neither Louis, nor Briana posted anything for their son’s birthday. As for the singer, he’s always been semi-private about his son, so it’s not that big of a deal. But it’s definitely out of the ordinary for Briana not to post, especially since the 26-year-old is constantly sharing photos of the toddler. Last year on Freddie’s second birthday, she even posted a ton of pics and videos of their celebrations. And the year before that, on the 1D baby’s first birthday, she shared an adorable video of Louis holding his son in front of a birthday cake and it practically made all of our hearts melt. Yeah, Briana constantly comes through with the new Freddie content, so this year’s silence definitely caught our eye.
But wait, there’s more. Right after Briana’s brother and mom posted their messages for Freddie’s birthday, they both unfollowed the Instagram model. Yep, that’s right. She also unfollowed her mom, but she still follows her younger brother. On top of that, Briana and her mom both took down all the pics they had posted of each other from their Instagram accounts! Briana even changed the caption of one snap that she had mentioned her mom in, and took her name out of it!
Naturally, nothing gets by the fans, so people quickly started to notice what was going down, and the internet went wild. Fans even started coming up with their own theories about what caused the alleged fight. Some think that the reason behind the drama might be because Briana and Louis want to keep their son more private now. Fans think that the reason the hair stylist unfollowed her family members was because they posted new pics of the cutie for his birthday. If this is true, that means we definitely can’t expect any new snaps of him for a while.
We totally understand if Briana and Louis want to keep the little guy private from now on — so he could grow up out of the spotlight and have a normal life. Over the last three years, we’ve had the pleasure of watching him grow up — and not only is he one of the cutest toddlers we’ve ever seen, but he looks just like his dad! Seriously, Freddie is the spitting image of the 27-year-old, so every time we get a new pic of him we can hardly cope!
So why the sudden urge to keep the youngster private? Well, maybe Louis got some advice from his One Direction bandmate Liam Payne. The “Strip That Down” singer has been super secretive about his own son, Bear, ever since he was born back in March of 2017. Up until recently, we only got pics of the cutie’s hands and feet! At the beginning of the month though, Bear’s mom, Cheryl Cole, finally shared some snaps of the toddler, but unfortunately it was only of the back of his head! That means that he’s almost 2, and we still haven’t even seen his face.
“Rather than being pictured and being put in places, I wanna give him the chance,” Liam explained to the Evening Standard back in March of 2018. “If I take it away from him now, he never has the chance to go back.”
Well guys, obviously we don’t know for sure what’s going on between Briana and her family — but we really hope this isn’t the end of Freddie pics forever!
