The “Sass-master From Doncaster” is back! Louis Tomlinson seemingly threw some major shade toward Justin Bieber in a recent interview, and boy, was it harsh.
It all started when the One Direction heartthrob opened up about how hard it was for him to be in the spotlight at such a young age.
“Being in the spotlight, that was hard, especially for the first year or 18 months — it was like a runaway train. Until I found my place in the group, I found it really difficult. Because when I’d go back home and talk to friends, I couldn’t take enough ownership of what I was doing,” he explained to inews.co.uk. “That started from being on The X Factor and not singing a lot, if I was singing at all. And taking negative comments about that was tough. We were all really young, and it was a really emotionally challenging time, which is why we were so lucky to have each other.”
As fans know, Louis joined the band when he was 18-years-old, but after reflecting about his start in the band, it got him thinking about some other celebrities that started out even younger than he did. And he couldn’t help but throw some shade.
“You know, I’m not going to name names, but there is one celebrity in particular — and I’m sure it’s the first name we both think of — who’s been a bit of a d–khead throughout his career in pop,” Louis said. “There have been times when I’ve looked at him and thought, ‘You know what, how impossible would it have been to have done this at an even younger age, and all on your own?'”
Yikes! Although there’s no way to know for sure who he’s referring to, a lot of fans quickly assumed it was the “Love Yourself” singer. And that’s probably because Louis been pretty public about his negative feelings for Justin in the past. When the 25-year-old canceled his Purpose Tour back in 2017, for example, the “Back To You” singer had a lot to say about it.
“Obviously, you have to be in a good position mentally, but I also think, to a certain degree, when you’re signing up to something, you should see it through,” Louis told 92.3 AMP Radio at the time.
And let’s not forget the time the 27-year-old singer totally mocked the Biebs for changing his Instagram name to “Bizzle.”
“Shizle,” “Grizzle,” “Zizzla,” “Chisel,” he tweeted.
LOL. Louis certainly has no chill.
