Congratulations are in order for Maren Morris because she just announced that she’s pregnant with her first child! Yep, the singer and her husband, Ryan Hurd, are expecting a baby boy! The 29-year-old shared the exciting news via Instagram on Tuesday, October 22, and fans are super excited for her.
“The irony is just too rich that after a year of living in the ‘GIRL’ headspace, the universe would give us a baby boy to even things out,” she wrote, referring to her hit single, “Girl.” “See you in 2020, little one.”
“MY BOYS CAN SWIM. BABY BOY HURD 2020! Look at her… cannot believe this life with this girl,” Ryan captioned a sweet photo of him and his wife, as she showed off her growing belly. “Also, thank you George Constanza for this caption that I’ve been sitting on my entire life.”
The “Diamonds of Twine” crooner even revealed their son’s due date!
“See you in March, baby!” he wrote on Twitter.
As fans know, the couple met back in 2013 after they wrote a song for Tim McGraw together. They started dating in 2016, got engaged in 2017 and married in March 2018. Back in January, the blonde beauty told People Magazine, “I definitely know that I want a family, and [Ryan] would be such an amazing dad. He’s such a kid himself. I love his family, and he loves my family.“
Naturally, a bunch of the couple’s celebrity friends took to the comment section to congratulate the couple.
“Woop woop congratulations friends!” Niall Horan wrote. For those who forgot, Maren and the One Direction singer wrote the bop “Seeing Blind” together. She even opened up for him on his Flicker World Tour!
“CONGRATULATIONS GUYS!” Taylor Swift, who has been close with Maren for years, commented.
“Omg congratulations!” Lea Michele gushed, with Kelsea Ballerini adding, “Congrats mama!”
