OMG, you guys. Miley Cyrus just made a guest appearance on the season premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race, and she also stopped by RuPaul‘s podcast to spill some tea about her life — including who she shared her first kiss with.

That’s right! The “Malibu” singer revealed that her first kiss ever was actually with a girl, which is something that a lot of people just couldn’t understand.

“When I was kind of growing up, being from the South … my first kiss was with a girl in middle school,” the former Disney Channel star said. “And no one could understand, in Nashville, saying that … so I had that relationship.”

Considering Miley openly identifies as a member of the LGBTQ community, this news isn’t all that shocking, but it’s cool to see that she’s always been her authentic self, even when she knew that other people around her would not understand — or worse, judge her for it.

Honestly, her authenticity has stuck with her over the years. To this day, she uses her platform to advocate for gay rights, which she told RuPaul is a responsibility she’s felt since her Hannah Montana days.

“I was one of the only kids on Disney that would come out and say that I supported all my gay friends,” she said. “No one really would say that, so that was always really important to me.”

The “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” songstress continues to break boundaries to this day. Just recently, for example, she spoke to Vanity Fair about being a queer person in a heterosexual marriage.

“We’re redefining, to be f–king frank, what it looks like for someone that’s a queer person like myself to be in a hetero relationship,” she told the mag. “What I preach is: People fall in love with people, not gender, not looks, not whatever. What I’m in love with exists on almost a spiritual level. It has nothing to do with sexuality … gender is a very small, almost irrelevant part of relationships.”

TBH, we couldn’t agree more, and we don’t know about you, but we love that MiCy always remains so true to herself. Keep doing you, Miley!
