That’s not all. Back in June 2019, Nickelodeon announced that another SpongeBob SquarePants spinoff show called Kamp Koral was in the works. The new series will be a prequel to the original show. It will follow SpongeBob when he was a kid — 10 years old, in fact — while he embarks on a ton of adventures at sleepaway camp.

“In the series, SpongeBob and his pals spend the summer building underwater campfires, catching wild jellyfish and swimming in Lake Yuckymuck at the craziest camp in the kelp forest, Kamp Koral,” the network said in a statement.

SpongeBob has an incredible universe to expand upon and the green light for Kamp Koral is a testament to the strength and longevity of these characters known and loved by generations of fans around the world,” Ramsey Naito, Nickelodeon’s Vice President of Animation Production and Development, added.

Wow, there’s so much to look forward to for us SpongeBob fans, and we’re not complaining!
