This may come as a shock, but it’s officially been 10 years since Niall Horan first stepped onto the X Factor stage to audition for the show. Yep, get ready to bring on all the nostalgia, you guys, because in honor of the anniversary, the singer just shared a super special tribute, and it’s making fans pretty emotional, TBH.

For those who forgot, after auditioning for the singing competition, he, along with Louis TomlinsonHarry Styles, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik, were put into a band by Simon Cowell — and that is how One Direction was formed.

“10 years since my X Factor audition aired on TV. Lost for words to be honest,” the “Nice To Meet Ya” crooner wrote on Twitter to commemorate the monumental day. “All I can say is thank you to every single one of you for your support over the years. I love what I do more than most so, thank you!”

OUR HEARTS. Is anyone else crying right now?! As fans know, his sweet note comes just days after Liam confirmed that the guys were planning to reunite for their upcoming 10th anniversary. Although Niall auditioned for the show on April 15, 2010, it wasn’t until July 23, 2010 that the band was officially formed.

“We’ve got a ten-year anniversary coming up so we’ve all been speaking together a lot over the last few weeks which has been really nice,” the 26-year-old told The Sun. “At the moment I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say. There’s a number of different things that we are all working on to try and make happen and people are forwarding emails around. But more than anything it’s just been a real good time for us to connect together again.”

“I”m not allowed to say too much obviously because I would be giving it away,” he added on The Late, Late Show With James Corden. “We’ve been speaking a lot more at the moment, I think we are all feeling that that ten year… It’s a very special moment.”
