Oh no, looks like Niall Horan is currently recovering from a secret surgery. The singer took to Twitter to let fans know that there is a very valid reason why he’s been laying low lately. Besides the fact that he’s recently wrapped up his first solo world tour and confirmed he would be taking some time off to work on new music, the 25-year-old just revealed he underwent sinus surgery.
“Just wanted to let you guys know that I’ve had my sinus surgery and recovery is going well . As I said I’ll be laying low for a while but thought you might want to know that part,” he wrote.

First of all, can we talk about the fact that Niall came out of hiding basically to let his fans know he’s doing just fine after the surgery? Does he ever stop being a gem of a human? It’s super sweet that the “Slow Hands” singer wanted to update those who support him on his condition and everyone is hoping he gets well soon.

Niall is, unfortunately, no stranger to having surgeries. While he was in One Direction, he had knee surgery and has struggled with knee pain for years. Speaking to Australian radio host Smallzy, Nialler explained exactly how this knee struggle began and it’s basically something he was destined to deal with.
“I just think there’s something in our family where all of our joints, my hips, my knees, my ankles, my shoulders, apparently there’s a thing on my dad’s side of the family where we all just have bad joints. I had reconstruction on this left knee and this knee is overcompensating for that one so now my right one is now acting up. So basically if I run around for an hour, having played football or whatever, I come off and I literally feel like a 45-year-old man,” Niall explained.
Poor guy! And his sinuses have been giving him trouble for some time now too, which as a singer, is something he obviously needed to get taken care of. He needs to be able to breathe, after all! We’re all wishing Niall a speedy recovery and we have a feeling he’s going to be just fine.
