It’s safe to say everyone has turned to the internet’s boyfriend Noah Centineo‘s Instagram or Twitter by now for some much needed words of inspiration or you know, just to get a look at his handsome face. We all need a pick me up every now and then, right? But in all seriousness, the 22-year-old To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before star has proven to be a fountain of wisdom and he’s often sharing uplifting messages that sometimes, you just need to hear. He really is that much of a gem.
During his visit to Glamour Magazine, he was asked to answer totally random questions fans had tweeted at him and when someone inquired how to get over a heartbreak when you still love the person you’re no longer with, Noah got real, unleashing some major truth based on his own experiences.
“Focus on yourself. If you love someone, like truly love someone, I don’t think that ever goes away. But what does change is your perspective on the relationship and the dynamic,” he explained. “And for me, one of the best ways [to]— you don’t really get over someone — but to move through and pass someone, is to really focus on yourself. Rediscover yourself, do things that you like to do, things that make you happy, things that make you feel empowered and inspired. For me, it was reading, learning that I actually do like working out, hiking, meditation, yoga, hanging out with my friends who care and love me dearly and who I love. Over time, you’ll wake up and the heartbreak won’t be as bad.”
So that’s what it takes — according to Noah — to mend a broken heart. Solid advice when you think about it! Taking time to focus on yourself is always important, whether you’re happily in a relationship, living the single life, or recovering from heartbreak. Safe to safe Noah knows what he’s talking about! We know as of right now, the actor is single and doesn’t have a girlfriend, he’s revealed that he happens to have a thing for older women, and he doesn’t really ever see himself dating a fan. Out here getting specific on the type of girl that could potentially catch his eye!
