Peyton List has been a fixture on Disney Channel for years now with her leading role as Emma Ross on Jessie and its spin-off BUNK’D, along with starring in the Disney Channel Original Movie, The Swap. But now that Peyton is 20 years old and BUNK’D will be ending after its current third season, she’s ready to move on from her Disney days. In fact, she even confirmed this update herself.

Taking to the comments section on her clothing line List By Peyton‘s official Instagram account, she replied back to a fan who asked if she’s quitting BUNK’D. She answered, making it clear that she’s just ready to do something different.

“not quitting. I’ve aged out of children’s show. I love all of those people so much from the show. they are and always will be my family. Everyone grows up and starts new projects. Grateful for everyone who has grown with me and will continue to,” Peyton wrote.

And while she mostly like will be forever known for playing Emma since it’s something she did for so many years, Peyton has a lot of fun things in the works. Along with her clothing line, she will have a guest-starring role on the upcoming Harry Styles executive produced CBS comedy Happy Together, and she’s part of the cast for the upcoming Hulu series, Light as a Feather. Peyton has three movies that are set to be released too, Valley Girl, Anthem, and Departures, plus she recently starred in Cheat Codes and Little Mix’s music video for their song “Only You,” where she played a mermaid who fell for a human girl. An intense love story!

So yeah, girl has been busy lately. Her former Jessie co-star Cameron Boyce said he too is ready to move on from Disney Channel once Descendants 3 is released and Skai Jackson confirmed back in March that she was filming a pilot for Fox three weeks after BUNK’D wrapped production. And she explained that everyone felt like it was time to move on.

“This is my last week on Disney, so Monday and Tuesday will be our last filming days for BUNK’D and then the series is over. [It’s] very sad,” Skai said to Clevver News. “I had such an amazing run. And I think for everyone, it’s just time to move on. We’ve played these characters for seven years now and we’re all growing up and I can’t be Zuri forever. But it is kind of bittersweet to let go of Zuri.”

The Ross kids will still be on our TV screens in a ton of new projects though, that’s for sure! Always bittersweet when your faves move on to another show, but it’s the dawn of a new era. And as Peyton said, the Jessie/BUNK’D casts are still super close – so we have a feeling we’ll see them all hanging out with each other every now and then, warming our hearts.
