Ever since they went public with their whirlwind romance, Jonas Brothers fans can’t get enough of Kevin and Danielle Jonas‘ storybook romance. They first got together in 2007, before the age of Instagram, and officially tied the knot in 2009. A few years later, after the Jonas Brothers officially announced their split in October 2013, Kevin became a father. He and Danielle welcomed their first daughter, Alena Rose, in February 2014. The couple’s second daughter, Valentina Angelina, was born in October 2016.
“[We’re] very excited,” Joe Jonas told Us Weekly in July 2013, before Alena was born. “I think this is a good time for adding a new member of the family. And you obviously don’t really know what to expect until he or she is actually here but then it will all kind of sink in. You just talk about it, but when we’re actually able to hold that baby, our niece or nephew, that will be exciting.”
Thanks to social media, fans get to see the two girls grow up right before their eyes. With photos and videos on Instagram and Twitter, it almost feels like we’re part of the family. Throughout the years, Kevin has shared some pretty adorable photos of his girls with their Uncle Joe.
Danielle even gushed over her daughters’ famous uncles during an interview with People from September 2019. At the time, Alena was just starting school and she got so much love from her famous family.
“She loves it!” Danielle told the publication about her eldest daughter’s relationship with the family. “She’s the first [niece] and she’s the first to go to kindergarten.”
The Married to Jonas alum added, “They were so pumped, and I was sending pictures of her all day. They’re getting to experience everything with me.”
While he still loves his nieces, Joe has since become a father of his own. He and wife Sophie Turner welcomed a daughter named Willa in July 2020.
“We haven’t been able to really see each other this whole year, just for brief moments,” he told Access in March 2021 when talking about bringing the whole family together.
