Just days after Tana Mongeau shook the world when she announced that her and her boyfriend Jake Paul were engaged, her ex Bella Thorne has spoken out about it. The former Shake It Up star dated the YouTuber for over a year before they split in February 2019, and let’s just say she’s not very happy about the news.
ICYMI, Jake proposed to the blonde beauty during her 21st birthday celebration on Sunday, June 23. And when a fan asked the social media star if he was going to make his fiancée sign a prenup, Bella added her thoughts on the matter.
“You guys are a f–king promo machine! If you go through with it, will you make @tanamongeau sign a prenup?,” the fan tweeted to Jake, to which Bella replied, “Jake needs to sign a prenup,” with a bunch of angry emojis.
A prenup is an agreement made between two people before marrying that establishes rights to money, property and assets in the event of divorce. If a married couple decides to get a divorce and they don’t have a prenup, they have to split all of their money and assets evenly.
Bella also sent out a super shady tweet a few hours earlier, which fans are convinced was about her ex-girlfriend.
“I can’t say this on the phone to you,” she wrote. “We need to meet up it’s [overdue]…”
The 21-year-old Famous In Love actress also took to her private Instagram account, where she posted a photo of herself in tears.
“When your ex gets engaged,” she captioned it, with a bunch of crying emojis.
And Tana even saw the emotional post because she commented, “OMG.”
On her public Instagram account, Bella shared a sweet birthday tribute for Tana.
“Through thick and thin. I love you Tana, happy birthday you beautiful beautiful special girl,” she wrote, alongside a snap of them kissing.
As fans know, although they split back in February, the ladies definitely aren’t out of each other’s lives. How do we know? Well, they were spotted hanging out back in April, and two months later, Tana actually begged the “Walk With Me” singer to take her back on Twitter!
But despite wanting to get back together with Bella, the 21-year-old influencer has been flaunting her relationship with Jake, 22, pretty much everywhere. The two are constantly hanging out, sharing PDA-filled snaps, collaborating on YouTube videos and gushing over each other on social media. But since they’ve already admitted to playing the relationship up for clout, it’s pretty hard to say what’s real and what’s not, including their recent engagement. We guess only time will tell!
