Can everyone please try to imagine how iconic it would be if Taylor Swift starred in The Vampire Diaries? Well guys, according to Nina Dobrev, that was almost the case! That’s right, the actress just revealed that producers really wanted the “Look What You Made Me Do” songstress to join the cast of the CW show, and fans are totally shook.
“I remember at the very beginning, we heard that Taylor Swift was a fan of the show,” the 31-year-old revealed to E! News. “And then the producers tried to write a role for her. It didn’t work out schedule-wise, obviously, she wasn’t on the show. But that was a surprising one.”
Wow, how amazing would that have been?! Seriously, it would have been a dream come true! Even though it didn’t pan out, however, Nina said that “she would have been great” in it. For those who forgot, the show aired from September 2009 to March 2017, and it also starred Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, Kat Graham, Candice King, Zach Roerig, Michael Trevino and more. It went on for eight epic seasons before it came to an end, and when it concluded, it was truly the end of an era!
As fans know, although singing is her main-forte, Taylor has appeared in various movies and TV shows over the years. She starred in an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigators, the movie Valentine’s Day, The Giver and Cats! She also lent her voice to Dr. Seuss‘ The Lorax. The blonde beauty has even showed off her epic acting skills during her music videos, which are always super theatrical.
Most recently, the 30-year-old was legit transformed into a guy for her “The Man” video. Yep, the singer put on full prosthetics and makeup for the visual, and boy, was it convincing! We can’t wait to see what Taylor stars in next!
