It looks like there’s no longer any bad blood between Taylor Swift and Harry Styles! Not only did the One Direction member totally praise his ex-girlfriend’s songwriting, but he even said that he finds the tracks she wrote about him “flattering.”
“I think about what it means to me to write a song about somebody else and for somebody else to do that, it’s like flattering,” the 26-year-old told Howard Stern on his Sirius XM radio show on Monday, March 2. “Even if the song isn’t that flattering, you still spent time on it and ultimately, using Taylor as an example, she’s a great songwriter. So at least they’re good songs.”
For those who forgot, the two stars dated briefly back in 2012, and it’s believed that the “Look What You Made Me Do” songstress wrote numerous songs about the relationship, including “Out of the Woods,” “Style,” “I Knew You Were Trouble” and more!
During the interview, the “Fine Line” crooner also got real about how he handles dating while being in the public eye.
“It’s always kind of a balance thing, because you want to date normally but then, you also want to protect it so it can be normal,” he explained. “I think a big part of it is like, you wanna be able to spend enough time with each other where you can get to know each other before you have to deal with the extra stuff.”
The singer confirmed that he wasn’t on any dating apps at the moment, but that he would “definitely” like to get married one day.
“I’d like to be [married]. It’s definitely what I would like to do,” he added.
