Who’s ready to see Vanessa Hudgens sing and dance her way into a new role? The triple threat may be known for her breakout role as Gabriella from High School Musical, but now fans and followers are about to see her in a new musical. Netflix just announced that they’re making a film adaptation of Broadway show tick, tick… BOOM!, and it sounds amazing!

Directed by on-stage legend Lin-Manuel Miranda, the film will star Andrew Garfield, Alexandra Shipp, and Robin de Jesus alongside Vanessa. According to Deadline, the movie musical is set in 1990 and will follow Jon, an aspiring theater composer who waits tables in New York City while hoping to write the great American musical that will finally give him his big career break.

Fans are seriously freaking out about seeing the actress perform in a new movie, but unfortunately no confirmation on the role she will be playing or release date has been shared just yet. Hopefully, new details will come soon.

This isn’t the only Netflix movie the 30-year-old is set to star in. As announced on October 30, Vanessa will officially reprise her roles as Margaret and Stacy in the highly anticipated sequel to fan-favorite film The Princess Switch. Titled The Princess Switch: Switched Again, the sequel will not only bring some major trouble in paradise for Duchess Margaret and Kevin, but might involve a possible third twin to amp up the drama.

“I honestly don’t even know where it would go, because we already got our happy endings. We’d have to create more conflict, or maybe there would a third twin. Spruce things up a little bit,” Vanessa said to Glamour back in November 2018, when asked if she’d be down to star in a sequel. “I have no idea. I’m going to leave that one up to the writers, but I know that I had so much fun doing it. The characters are so sweet that I would definitely be on board.”
