'After' Star Hero Fiennes Tiffin: Girlfriend, Age, Height, More

Two After movies have officially been released with another two on the way. Since the Harry Styles-inspired flicks were released, Tessa and Hardin’s love story stole the hearts to viewers everywhere, and their love story isn’t over just yet.

Based on the book series by Anna Todd, the film series stars Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin as Tessa Young and Hardin Scott, respectively. Both stars are total newcomers on the acting scene, but ever since the first movie hit theaters in April 2019, fans have fallen head-over-heels in love with Hardin — ahem, we mean Hero.

“It was initially overwhelming,” he told Flaunt Magazine in February 2021 about the immediate fame that came from the After movies. “But now at this point I’m obviously able to enjoy the good things and not dwell too much on the changes. I didn’t plan for this, I just wanted to stay busy and do loads of auditions and do things on the side. Now a few years later, I’ve kind of settled from a sudden change in a sudden period of time to now a long couple years of adjustments.”

During the same interview, Hero opened up about how he tackles the fan-favorite character of Hardin.

“The interesting thing about Hardin is that he changes so much depending on how Tessa changes,” he told FLAUNT. “Once he deals with his childhood trauma, you hope that he will be able to become his best self. I think the whole journey with After as well is watching how he becomes the best version of himself alongside Tessa. He goes from being a version of himself who is far from who he wants to be to transforming to be who he wants to be.”

Moving forward, the actor wants always be able to play both bad guys and good guys in movies.

“Maybe I just look like more of the ‘bad guy,'” he said. “To be able to play the bad guys and the good guys is definitely something I want to always be able to have a balance between.”

Past Roles

Fans may be surprised to learn that Hero actually starred in one of the HP movies himself! He played a young Tom Riddle, AKA Voldemort, in The Half Blood Prince. Remember the scene when Dumbledore went to visit him in an orphanage? Wow, talk about a major glo’ up. In between HP and After, the actor also starred in Private Peaceful, the Netflix show Safe and the British series Cleaning Up.

A Budding Star

It turns out, fans almost saw Hero in one of their favorite TV shows! The heartthrob revealed to VMan Magazine that he actually auditioned for Stranger Things before landing his role in After. He also tried out for Dunkirk, which as fans know, starred the One Direction member that his character in After is based off of!

Future Roles

Brace yourselves, you guys, because Hero has already been cast in his next movie! Deadline reported that the actor will star in a horror flick called The Silencing. The movie is about a sheriff (played by Annabelle Wallis) and a hunter (played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) who team up to find a vicious killer who may have kidnapped the hunter’s daughter. Hero will play the sheriff’s troubled little brother.

When it comes to his upcoming projects the actor told Flaunt Magazine in February 2021 that he’d love to star in something directed by his mom, Martha Fiennes. “I think I’d have to talk to her about it. I know she was in the process of writing a spy concept at one point, and I haven’t done a spy thing yet, and I would absolutely love to!” he gushed.

In May 2021, it was reported that he would also be starring in the upcoming romantic flick called First Love, which is about “a young man’s difficult entry into adulthood,” according to Deadline.

Relationship Status

It’s unclear exactly what Hero’s relationship status is since he keeps his private life under wraps, but in an October 2020 interview, he revealed that he looks for “honesty” in a healthy relationship.

Although he keeps his relationship status private, the internet did g into a frenzy on February 14, 2020, when a model named Chanal Benjilali posted a video of her and Hero cuddling up on her Instagram Stories.

Now, it’s unclear whether or not they’re dating or just friends, but fans quickly started to speculate that something was going on between them based on the PDA-filled video. But in a since-deleted tweet Anna quickly put the rumors to rest, writing on Twitter, “Guys, Hero’s not dating anyone, do him a favor and stop posting about it.”

Back in 2019, the After star told Elle Magazine that he had never had a girlfriend before.

“Interestingly enough, I’ve never had, like, a proper relationship,” he said. “I haven’t had a girl I would call my girlfriend.”
