When it comes to tattoos, Bella Hadid surprisingly has a few! The model keeps her ink designs small and pretty hidden.
While she’s never confirmed it explicitly, it’s been speculated that one of Bella’s tiny tats is actually a tribute to her time as a Victoria’s Secret angel. In January 2017, New York-based tattoo artist Jon Boy showed off two tiny angel wings on both ankles of Bella’s right foot. Since then, the same artist has completed a few more of her ink designs, including a small rose on the back of Bella’s left arm, which was revealed in July 2017.
One of her tattoos was always hidden until 2021,n when eagled-eyed fans noticed three dots on the left side of her chest at the Cannes Film Festival. For those who forgot, Bella left little to the imagination at this event while showcasing the giant gold Schiaparelli lung necklace, which made major headlines at the time.
Other than these small hidden designs, she does have two bigger tattoos. However, they’re still considered minimalist ink.
In November 2020, tattoo artist Dr. Woo showed off Arabic wiring on both Bella’s left and right shoulders. “Some writings for the always kind and lovely @bellahadid,” the artist wrote via Instagram at the time. According to the artist, the words translate to “I love you,” on one shoulder and “my love” on the other.
Bella’s tattoos have never stopped her from booking a modeling job. In fact, she’s one of the most recognizable faces in fashion to date.
“I always ask myself, how did a girl with incredible insecurities, anxiety, depression, body-image issues, eating issues, who hates to be touched, who has intense social anxiety — what was I doing getting into this business? But over the years I became a good actress. I put on a very smiley face, or a very strong face. I always felt like I had something to prove,” she told Vogue in March 2022 of her career. “People can say anything about how I look, about how I talk, about how I act. But in seven years I never missed a job, canceled a job, was late to a job. No one can ever say that I don’t work my ass off.”
