Sorry, you guys, Beyoncé isn’t gearing up to sign a major deal with Disney after all. Yep, rumors hit the web on Wednesday, June 10 that the singer was in talks to sign a $100 million contract with the company following the wild success of their movie The Lion King, but now, her rep has shut this down once and for all.

According to Hollywood Unlocked, her rep said the rumors were not true, but did not provide any further details.

For those who missed it, The Sun had reported that the deal was going to guarantee that the “Single Ladies” songstress, who starred as Nala in Disney’s live-action remake of The Lion King (and totally killed it!), would work on three more films with the House of Mouse. One of the movies was reportedly going to be Black Panther 2, where Beyoncé was going to be a part of the soundtrack.

“Beyoncé has become a major player for Disney and is the perfect fit for their brand,” a source told them, adding that “as part of the deal, they are also trying to get her team to agree to have Beyoncé voicing some of the new documentaries coming to Disney+. After the success of having Meghan Markle voicing the film Elephant on the platform, they have projects coming up which align perfectly with Beyoncé’s brand. The negotiations are still ongoing but it’s the final details that are being thrashed out now.”

Ugh, how epic would that be?! We seriously wish that this was true! As fans know, Disney currently has a lot of new projects up their sleeves! Back in April, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Disney was making a live-action remake of the animated classic Hercules. According to the outlet, Dave Callaham is set to write the script, and Joe and Anthony Russo (who slayed the box office with their 2019 film Avengers: Endgame) are going to produce it. The highly-anticipated remake will reportedly feature all the fan-favorite classic tunes from the original movie — like “Zero To Hero” and “Go The Distance” — along with a bunch of show-stopping new ones.

Plus, there’s rumors that they’re planning to redo the movie Tangled. Oh, and did we mention that they recently announced the cast of the upcoming Little Mermaid movie? Halle Bailey is set to star as the famous mermaid, while Jonah Hauer-King was cast as the handsome prince.
