It’s been seven months since Cameron Boyce tragically passed away, and now, a new flick featuring the late Disney star is in the works. The movie, called Runt, was filmed months before his heartbreaking death, and is set to premiere at the Mammoth Film Festival on February 29, 2020.

According to Deadline, the actor will play a boy named Cal in the new movie — a teenager who experiences a troubling incident that makes him a cold and angry person.

As fans know, Cameron was only 20 years old when he died on July 6, 2019, after having a seizure in his sleep. He suffered from a medical condition called epilepsy, and the entire world was devastated over his sudden passing.

Cameron had his first seizure when he was 16 and a half. It was in his sleep. It was a night when he had two friends sleeping over and they witnessed it,” Cameron’s mom, Libby, told The Doctors. “About a year later, when he was 17, he had another seizure. At that point, he was diagnosed with epilepsy. He only ever had five seizures in his life.”

“His cause of death was Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy,” Cameron’s dad, Victor, explained to NBCLA, with his mom adding that SUDEP is when “people pass away from an epileptic seizure and they’re otherwise healthy. There’s no preexisting condition.”

It turns out, this isn’t the only thing that Cameron filmed before he died. The Jessie alum is also set to star in a new TV show called Paradise City, which will premiere sometime in 2020.

A spinoff of the 2017 film American Satan, the upcoming show will follow a rockstar and a young fan as their lives collide in a surprising turn of events. The series will also star Bella Thorne and Booboo Stewart — who appeared in the Descendants flicks alongside Cameron.
