She’s back! Demi Lovato just released a brand new single, called “I Love Me,” and it’s a total bop, TBH. Yep, the track dropped on Friday, March 6, and fans cannot stop listening to it! But wait, what’s it about? Who inspired the new song and did the singer throw any shade in the lyrics or music video? Not to worry, people, because J-14 is breaking it down once and for all.

So it turned out, the new tune was all Demi’s self doubt. But the song also focused on how the brunette beauty learned to love herself, despite those insecurities!

“‘Cause I’m a black belt when I’m beating up on myself / But I’m an expert at giving love to somebody else / Me, myself and I don’t see eye to eye,” the 27-year-old sings in the powerful new anthem. “Oh, why do I compare myself to everyone? / And I always got my finger on the self-destruct / I wonder when I love me is enough / Why am I always looking for a ride or die? / ‘Cause mine’s the only heart I’m gonna have for life / After all the times I went and f**ked it up / I wonder when I love me is enough.”

Wow, is anyone else loving the important message behind the song?! The former Sonny With a Chance star even sent a strong message to the media, her haters and the internet trolls.

“Haters that live on the internet / Live in my head, should be paying rent / I’m way too good at listening / All these comments f**king up my energy,” the lyrics read. “Flippin’ through all these magazines / Tellin’ me who I’m supposed to be / Way too good at camouflage / Can’t see what I am, I just see what I’m not.”

That’s not all. During the music video for the new track, the “Tell Me You Love Me” songstress seemingly sent some strong messages to some of the people in her life. Not only did she reportedly shade her ex, Wilmer Valderrama, but there was also a rumored reference to her Camp Rock days and the Jonas Brothers in the vid!

At one point, the Disney actress walked past three guys wearing matching suits, and although it didn’t show their faces, fans were quick to notice the similarities between them and her former besties.

Wow, talk about no chill! Demi also walked past a girl that looked exactly like her Camp Rock character, Mitchie Torres.

Coincidence?! We think not. And when she passed by a couple getting married, some fans were convinced she was referring to her past relationship with Wilmer. Why? Well, news recently hit the web that he was engaged to his new girlfriend, Amanda Pacheco.
