The drama continues. Just days after Joe Jonas claimed Diplo “ruined” his wedding to Sophie Turner after he livestreamed the entire thing, the DJ has fired back. And he’s definitely not having it.
Taking to his Instagram on Thursday, May 30 the 40-year-old posted a screenshot of a news article talking about Joe’s comment.
“The only thing that ‘ruined’ the wedding was your ‘fit,” he captioned it. Um, ouch!
But don’t worry guys, it appears that he may be joking because the Jonas Brothers singer commented on the post with an eye rolling emoji. Clearly, this is all in good fun.
OK, phew. We’re so glad they’re not feuding after all.
In case you missed it, Joe and the Game of Thrones actress tied the knot in Las Vegas after the 2019 Billboard Music Awards on May 1, 2019. And lucky for us, we got a ton of footage from the secret wedding — courtesy of the music producer. That’s right. Diplo documented the entire thing in an Instagram Live. And as much as we enjoyed watching it, while speaking to Capital FM on Wednesday, May 29, the “Sucker” crooner revealed he was not a fan.
“He did ruin it,” he said. “I love Diplo but he loves his ‘gram more than a 13-year-old. He posts every five seconds. He literally livestreamed [our wedding] with dog face filters.”
But the 29-year-old and his wife laughed it off.
“We just laughed, we loved it,” he added. “We thought it was ridiculous.”
And during a recent interview on The Graham Norton Show, Joe explained that his parents found out about the wedding through Diplo’s livestream. And they were not happy to find out that way.
“The internet told them!” he joked. “I’m still trying to make it better!”
Aww. Well, we couldn’t be happier for the newlyweds.
