TikTok star Dixie D’Amelio has set the record straight, and no, she’s not using her sister Charli D’Amelio for fame! On Saturday, April 18, the 18-year-old took to Twitter and responded to a viral video, posted by blogger Alexis Dent, which claimed that she has no talent and the only reason she’s famous is because she’s related to the most followed person on the video sharing app.
“Sorry not sorry,” Alexis captioned the clip, tagging the D’Amelio family.

Naturally, TikTok fans were quick to defend Dixie. One person replied, “Hahaha, we love bringing other girls down, ahaha so funny,” to which the blogger responded, “Please tell me ONE talent she has. One. She fails upwards, and it has nothing to do with gender. I love lifting up women who are smart as bada**. Dixie is neither.”
Another person stood up for Dixie and wrote, “Dixie has repeatedly and openly advocated for spreading kindness and anti-bullying, so regardless of whether or not you think she’s talented, I know that myself and many others would rather support somebody who has a good personality and who doesn’t bring other girls down!”
Upon seeing the back and forth between her fans and the hater, Dixie got involved.
“How can I change for you,” she asked Alexis, who wrote back, “Girl if you have an actual talent, show it. It’s clearly not dancing. And you don’t really show your personality. It’s Charli’s clout. Do something besides ride the coattails of other TikTokers with clout. I’d love to see it.”
Lastly, Dixie thanked the hater for her “tip” and explained that she’s working hard to “grow” every day.
“Thank you for the tip! I am working on things every day to be able to show my personality and passions with my followers, I am very shy so I struggle with that sometimes! I take any criticism to help me change and grow so thank you,” the influencer concluded.
