It looks like Hailee Steinfeld is ready to love again following her messy split from Niall Horan! Yep, the singer just got real about her relationship status, and she admitted that she’s not seeing someone at the moment, but she’s definitely ready for a new man to walk into her life.
“I mean yeah, for sure ’cause as wild as love can be, it’s pretty awesome,” the “Man Up” songstress told Entertainment Tonight in a new interview. “I wouldn’t say I’m necessarily looking. I always think that — and at least in my life it’s proven to be true more than once — that it kinda comes when you’re not looking for it, you know?”
“As far as, like, having a guard up and I think that’s always been the kind of person I am and have been forever with any relationship,” she continued. “I think any time you experience sort of pain or or hurt or something from a certain situation going into it again, you’ve got a guard up, so I’ve definitely been the type of person to always have one up. But yeah, maybe more so now, but I don’t know. There will be somebody that comes along that knocks it down.”
As fans know, rumors first started swirling that the “Slow Hands” crooner and the Pitch Perfect 2 star were dating back in February 2018, after they were spotted getting pretty cozy at a Backstreet Boys concert. And when they were photographed smooching in August 2018, fans of the couple got all the confirmation we had been waiting for. But they unfortunately called it quits that December, and it did not seem like it ended well. Why? Well, the 23-year-old seemingly shaded the pop star multiple times on her Instagram Stories, and when she released her song “Wrong Direction” in January 2020, she even alleged that Niall had cheated on her.
