Is Harry Styles returning to the big screen?! That seems to be the question on everyone’s minds after a report hit the web that claimed the One Direction singer was gearing up to star in a new movie with Brad Pitt, so we decided to investigate and clear up the rumors once and for all.

According to Latin America outlet Vértice Cine, the singer (who, as fans know, made his acting debut in the 2017 movie Dunkirk) was cast in a film called Faster, Cheaper, Better. The movie will reportedly “deal with the great and inevitable changes that are coming in the trucking industry.”

“The film spans 20 years in multiple locations with intertwined stories of countless characters including: a union boss, a young businessman, an inland farm manager and a tech millionaire whose lives are cut short when the automation and artificial intelligence transform the world as we know it. In the end, everyone must face the meaning of being human,” a synopsis reads.

Writer and director, Dan Gilroy, also opened up about the new flick to Deadline.

“It’s a big multi-narrative film, set over two decades in multiple locales,” he explained. “We follow a group of inter-connected characters, as they deal with automation and AI changing their world, particularly the work world. I’ve always been interested in machines and technology and it fairly recently how automation and AI are just profoundly transforming the workplace.”

Well guys, we have some bad news for you. Vanity Fair reported that the “Watermelon Sugar” crooner is not going to appear in the movie after all. Yep, sources told them that the rumors were completely false, and we’re low-key devastated over the news.

OK, so he may not be working on a new movie, but a lot of fans are convinced that the 26-year-old has been secretly working on his next studio album. Why? Well, he was recently spotted in Bath, England, and some people were quick to point out that his last LP, Fine Line, was recorded at a studio right near Bath. Here’s to hoping we get some new music from Harry soon!
