The entire internet went into a frenzy after the cast of High School Musical had a virtual reunion on Saturday, April 11. But one of the stars of the iconic Disney Channel franchise was not happy that he wasn’t invited to it! Yep, Bart Johnson, who played Coach Bolton in the series, called out his former costars for not including him, and he had no chill with his response.
“Guess who’s back…” Vanessa Hudgens wrote on Instagram alongside a snap from their webcam hang out session.
“Warms my [heart] every time I see a family reunion I didn’t get invited to,” Bart quickly commented underneath her post.
Yikes! From the looks of it, Vanessa, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman and HSM director Kenny Ortega were all in attendance. Fans have also wondered why Zac Efron was not a part of the reunion, but there was no indication as to why he didn’t participate. Seeing them together more than 14 years after the first movie premiered was seriously a treat for us HSM fans, and it’s clear they have a bond that can never be broken!
As fans know, their hang out session comes just days after Bart recreated a scene from the throwback movie. That’s right, the 49-year-old actor took to TikTok and reenacted the moment in the film when Ms. Darbus infiltrated the boys’ locker room to yell at the coach, and boy, was it epic.
That’s not all! Back in March, he brought on all the feels when he posted a video to TikTok of himself dancing along to the song “We’re All In This Together” while sporting an East High sweatshirt. Ashley, Vanessa and Monique also shared clips of themselves showing off their moves to the song, and it seriously made us so nostalgic!
You know what they say, once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat!
