Ever since The Kissing Booth hit screens in May 2018, we’ve all been pretty obsessed with the flick. We mean, the Netflix rom-com starred Joey King, Jacob Elordi and Joel Courtney, and with a cast that iconic it’s only natural that it quickly became one of our favorite movies! Well guys, prepare to have your hearts broken because one of the main actors just totally shaded his role in the movie.

Jacob, who played Noah Flynn in the film, is currently starring in Drake‘s new HBO series called Euphoria alongside Zendaya. And when he was asked to compare the two roles to The Hollywood Reporter, he called his character in The Kissing Booth “awful.” Ouch!

“It’s two completely different experiences. The Kissing Booth was the first film I ever made — it was sort of my ticket to Hollywood, so I was really grateful for that,” he said. “It’s almost like righting my wrongs a little bit too, because the character in The Kissing Booth is awful and it’s never really explained. He’s kind of idolized and made into a hero, so I suppose this show is showing why.”

But don’t worry, you guys, Jacob must not be too against the role because it’s already been confirmed that he’s returning to play Noah again in the Kissing Booth 2! That’s right. They’re making a sequel to the hilarious flick, and Jacob, along with the rest of the OG cast, are coming back for round two. Ugh, we seriously cannot wait!

And get this, you guys — according to Deadline, there will be two new additions to the cast. Legends of Tomorrow actress Maisie Richardson-Sellers and newcomer Taylor Perez will also star in The Kissing Booth sequel. But how will Noah and Elle make things work while he’s away at college, you ask? Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait and see. But there is one thing we know for sure — it’s definitely going to be epic.
