You know those epic Dance Dance Revolution scenes from The Kissing Booth? Well, Joey King just revealed that those iconic moments from the flick are the reason she currently suffers with tendinitis. Ouch!

In a recent Los Angeles Times interview, the 19-year-old opened up about practicing for those particular scenes, and how it led to her developing the painful medical condition.

“Oh my God. That training — it is intense,” she revealed. “I’m going through it again right now. Like, I have it tonight. It’s so hard. Now I have tendinitis in my elbow from it.” OMG.

But if you thought the choreography looked difficult in the first movie, just wait until the second because it’s about to get so much more impressive.

“It is so intense, and the first movie you thought we had hard DDR,” she said. “… I’m not a dancer! This choreography is nuts, but so good.” We can’t wait!

Although she’s dancing through the tendinitis so that she can give us the choreography we’re all waiting for, she did admit that her costar Joel Courtney is naturally much better at DDR than she is.

“I suck at Dance Dance Revolution, she said. “But when I’m being told exactly what to do, I’m pretty damn good.”

“Joel’s fast,” she added. “He picks it up. He does it really quickly. But we have a lot of fun together. It’s so fun. We always have the best time.”

Even though we’re desperate to know more about the sequel — other than the fact that she’s developed tendinitis because of it, of course — the actress remained tight-lipped about what we can expect. However, she did get a little sappy about the first movie, explaining how she truly felt about it from the time she read the script to the time she watched the finished product.

“The script was amazing, the process of filming was amazing and the product when it came out was so frickin’ cute and amazing. I remember seeing it for the first time … and I have a hard time watching myself sometimes, but I remember watching that movie and being like, ‘Oh my God, I’m so excited. I love it.’ I loved it so much, and I’m so happy that everyone loved it as much as I did.”

She’s right about that! We really did love The Kissing Booth so much, and now that we know she’s working so hard on the choreography for the sequel, we seriously can’t wait to see it for ourselves.
