Those of you who’ve seen Shane Dawson‘s docuseries on Jeffree Star know that the beauty guru has an enormous facility in Los Angeles where he runs his many businesses. Unfortunately, that warehouse was just burglarized and the thieves made off with roughly $2.5 million worth of products. OMG.

That’s right, you guys! The 33-year-old posted a video to his channel on April 2, in which he opened up about the super scary events that took place at his warehouse, and in turn led to the leak of his upcoming Magic Star concealer.

“I haven’t told anyone yet,” the makeup artist revealed. “Just me, my team and my family know, but two weeks ago — the morning of March 15 — I uploaded the reveal video for the Blue Blood collection. That night, at around 1 A.M., one of my stock and shipping warehouses was broken into and over $2.5 million of product was stolen from me. This is the biggest theft I’ve experienced my entire career.”

Like you, we’re totally shook by the news. We mean, how can someone possibly rob Jeffree of millions of dollars worth of products and get away with it? Especially considering all the security he has at the facility. Well, as it turns out, one of the warehouses wasn’t as secure as it could’ve been, and according to the YouTuber, the operation involved a team of criminals.

“These people were professional,” he said. “I fully believe it was an inside job. I think that it was someone who temporarily worked there who tipped them off. … They came in through the roof. It was a very professional job. It was a team of people, and when you watch footage of this stuff, it is so gut-wrenching to see people just take your s–t and put it in a truck and steal something that I have been working on for so long.”

Honestly, that sounds completely heartbreaking, and money aside, the theft truly impacted whether or not Jeffree Star Cosmetics will be capable of fulfilling orders. And if consumers wanted shade C5 of his concealer, well, it’s likely they’ll be waiting a while because the thieves pretty much took what was left of it.

So what are the thieves doing with all of the stolen makeup, you ask? Great question! According to Jeffree, the burglars are black market makeup retailers, meaning they stole the products so they could resell them and make a profit. And now that images of the not-yet-released concealer have been posted on the internet for resale, he has law enforcement on the case — including the FBI.

Yep! Investigators quickly discovered a photo of one of the stolen products on Facebook, which someone was illegally trying to sell, and let’s just say arrests have already been made.

“This person is in jail currently while we investigate how they got access to my product so they can illegally sell it,” he assured fans. “The girl that posted the photo — she’s part of the problem because she hit up the black market dealer on Facebook, stole that person’s photo and then posted it in a Facebook makeup group going, ‘Hi, who wants this?'” Yikes!

Unfortunately, Jeffree’s brand isn’t the first to get robbed by black market retailers. Roughly a year ago, Anastasia Beverly Hills had around $4.5 million worth of makeup stolen from its warehouse, so this definitely isn’t unheard of. Currently, law enforcement is investigating if the two crimes are related, but until then, you’ll be glad to know that Jeffree’s makeup launch is continuing as planned.

The beauty guru has worked on this collection for over a year, and he doesn’t plan on letting this theft ruin his moment — even if some people have already seen the upcoming products online. According to Jeffree, the official launch will be later in April, and we seriously can’t wait. In the meantime, we’re seriously hoping for some justice because this isn’t fair to Jeffree, and it certainly isn’t fair to his fans.
