Everyone was living for Joey King‘s outfit at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, and now, the actress has shared some behind-the-scenes details on how she pulled off the epic look!
For those who missed it, the star-studded event took place on Sunday, August 30, and so many big celebrities made appearances on the virtual red carpet straight from their homes! As for the Kissing Booth star, she blew us all away when she showed up in a tight, bright green and floral dress, red heels (which were worth almost $500, according to Insider), Versace chains, long brown hair and stunning makeup.
“I’m wearing Versace. My first time wearing Versace,” she told Travis Mills during the pre-show. “And what all went into it is I’m wearing a lot of Spanx, I’ve got some fake makeup on my legs so that they look shiny, and yeah, I have extensions in my hair. So you know, I don’t really look like this.”
According to her social media, fashion stylist Jared Eng created the epic look, while Dimitri Giannetos and Allan Avendaño were in charge of her hair and makeup! The 21-year-old posted some gorgeous pics of her outfit to her Instagram, which she captioned, “VMAS!”
As fans know, Keke Palmer hosted the awards show, which featured performances by Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, CNCO, BTS, Maluma, The Weeknd, Doja Cat and more. Plus, tons more celebrities put on their best dresses and most handsome suits and posed for the red carpet — and they did not come to play. Besides Joey, stars like Bebe Rexha, Sofia Carson, Kelly Clarkson, Bella Hadid, Madison Beer, Jaden Smith and so many others dressed to impress, and we are still living for all of their glamorous looks, TBH! Get this — Lady Gaga even wore five different outfits throughout the show! Yeah, it was certainly a night to remember.
