Although we were all shipping Lana Condor and Noah Centineo hard after witnessing their on-screen chemistry in To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, we’ve come to accept the fact that she’s in a happy and committed relationship with a different actor, Anthony Da La Torre. And even though we’ve been obsessed with the actress ever since the movie hit Netflix, there’s still a lot we don’t know about her love life — like, for example, how she even met her bae to begin with.
Lucky for us, we finally have some answers! The 21-year-old hit up the red carpet with her boyfriend at the 2019 BAFTA tea Golden Globes pre-party on Saturday, Jan. 5, and dished all about how she and the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales actor first met.
“His pickup line was just, ‘Hey, I’m Anthony. I thought I’d make a friend,'” she told Us Weekly. “So you go and you do that.” Aww!
After gushing about what an incredible dancer Anthony is, Lana told Us, “I mean, he puts me to shame. Usually, I just stand and watch.”
But, while Anthony may have commanded the dance floor, Lana definitely commanded the red carpet over Golden Globes weekend, and NGL, we were obsessed with all of her looks.
The actress said, “I felt like a d–n princess,” and she certainly looked the part, too. Plus, she got to walk arm-in-arm with her very own Prince Charming, so it seems like her star-studded weekend was truly what dreams are made of.
