If you’re just as obsessed with To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before as we are, you’re probably super stoked for the upcoming sequel. We mean, why wouldn’t you be? The drama with Gen is seemingly over, Lara Jean and Josh are on good terms again, and she and Peter are, like, officially dating.

Before you get ahead of yourself, though, there are a ton of possibilities for the next movie, and we hate to break it to you, but things won’t stay perfect between Lara Jean and Peter for long. We know it, you know it — even Lana Condor knows it!

That’s right, fam! In a new interview with Elle, Lana revealed some concerning things about the next movie.

“There’s going to be a major new love interest,” she said. “The first one was with Josh and Peter, but in the second movie it’s going to be a major new character that’s going to challenge Peter quite a bit and fight over me, which is not a bad thing.”

TBH, we’d totally be lying if we said we didn’t see this one coming. If you caught the rolling credits in the first flick, you probably know exactly who Lana’s talking about. After LJ and Peter professed their love for one another on the lacrosse field, another recipient of one of Lara Jean’s letters showed up at her doorstep by the name of John Ambrose McClaren, and from the sound of it, he’s really going to make Peter sweat it out in the next movie.

Sure, as Lana said, it’s not necessarily a bad thing that two good-looking guys will be fighting over Lara Jean’s heart, but LBR, her and Peter are so perfect together and we really don’t want anyone to come between that. Turns out, the 21-year-old is well aware that fans might not be 100 percent down for this plot twist, and she’s actually afraid of getting backlash for it.

While she’s just as excited as we are for the sequel, the actress told the mag that she’s absolutely not looking forward to the inevitable backlash from fans when the new character tries to come between LJ’s relationship with Peter.

She told the mag, “I actually have that fear… I’m scared.” Same, girl. SAME.
