It may only be September, but thanks to Meghan Trainor, the holiday season is officially coming early this year! Yep, on Wednesday, September 9, the songstress took to social media and announced that her debut Christmas album A Very Trainor Christmas was coming soon! Mark your calendars, people, because the entire record is set to drop on October 30, 2020.
“ITS ABOUT TO BE #AVeryTrainorChristmas! NOTHING makes me happier than the holidays with my family! This year has been difficult to say the least, so I’m tryna bring joy the best way I know how…with a Christmas album full of originals and classics! Coming out on October 30th!” the blonde beauty captioned her Instagram post, which gave fans a look at the album cover.
Wearing a Santa hat while eating a candy cane and completely covered in gift bows, we’d say that Meghan is seriously a Christmas queen! Although she’s yet to tease any upcoming tracks, the 26-year-old did announce that she has some original holiday songs in the works. As fans know, A Very Trainor Christmas isn’t the first time Meghan put a holiday spin on her music. Back in 2014, she released the original Christmas song, “I’ll Be Home.”
According to her Instagram Stories, two versions of the album — which is available for pre-order — will be released. The original version, featuring her red cover, will have 18 soon-to-be announced tracks. As for the Target exclusive, it will feature a green cover with Meghan wearing a sweater and sitting under a Christmas tree while covered in twinkle lights. But that’s not all! This bonus version will also have two extra tracks. That’s right, a total of 20 Christmas tunes to get us through the holiday season. Safe to say we’ll be pre-ordering both versions.
Break out the decorations, because it’s time to let the holiday season officially begin!
